Seeding has begun for 2020. These 3 trays went under the growlight on February 6th. I'm sure re-potting will be required before they make it to the garden, but that's part of the fun.
Plants started were all of the hot pepper varieties, kale and cilantro. The plants in the right-most tray that took off within 2-3 days were the kale and cilantro. As of this post dated 10 days after planting, I am happy to report that every plant is now germinating, including each of the hot pepper types that I had problems germinating last year. This year I placed the growlight, that is, my cheap utility light from True Value, closer to the trays, am using heat mats, and the secret to my current success, aluminum fold over the trays to intensify the light and retain more heat.
More action photos of seedlings will be coming, so stay tuned.
